Grace Community Church of Willow Street began as a church planting project of the Evangelical Congregational Church in August 1995 with the purpose of providing a setting of openness and acceptance in which people could develop significant relationships with God through the faith in Jesus Christ as Savior. We are a growing community of believers who are committed to exalting the name of Jesus in worship, celebrating the intimacy of His presence in discipleship and providing encouragement of others through Christian fellowship. To accomplish these goals, we have intentionally determined that we will limit our growth at this location and then "give birth" to a daughter church at another location. At the present time, we have an average of about 275 people at Sunday morning services.
Our goal is that all members of Grace Community will actively participate in at least one small group which will lead to growth in their knowledge of God's Word; in their love for and fellowship with Him and others; and in their passion to minister to persons who are unchurched within their communities. So, we seek to foster a broad-based support of this ministry by the members and friends of our congregation, with various small groups meeting at various times and places throughtout the greater Lancaster area.
