Grow

Growing with Jesus

When someone becomes a follower of Jesus and begins a saving relationship with Him, they embark on a journey of growth that is called sanctification. This means that the Holy Spirit transforms believers to look more and more like Jesus until they meet Him face to face in eternity (2 Corinthians 3:18, Philippians 1:6, 1 Peter 2:2, Romans 12:2). Christians GROW spiritually as their relationship with Jesus deepens, relationally as they interact with other followers of Jesus, and emotionally as they process their life experiences.

Spiritually

Because the mission of GCC is to help people know and follow Jesus, our hope is that you would continue to grow and deepen your relationship with Jesus. New followers of Jesus are encouraged to pick up a New Believer Box in one of our lobbies.

These boxes contain a Bible and other resources to help you begin and grow in your relationship with Jeus.

Adult Education Classes are offered throughout the year to help followers of Jesus grow in their knowledge of God’s Word and to apply Scripture to their lives. Current and upcoming classes are listed on our Events page!

Jesus also instructed his new followers to be baptized as a public declaration of their commitment to follow Jesus. This act of faith is an opportunity for Christians to identify with Christ’s life, death, and resurrection and to tell others about the work that Jesus has done in their lives. Let us know if you want to get baptized at the registration below!

Relationally

A believer’s relationship with Jesus is important, but so are their relationships with other believers! Worshippers can engage with other believers and participate in Christian community through GCC’s Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry, and Small Group Ministry. They provide opportunities for believers to connect to Christ, care for one another, contribute to the needs of other group members, and celebrate the work that God is doing in another believer’s life!

EMOTIONALLY

The Christian life is not one without hardship or struggle. GCC offers Pastoral Counseling free of charge and a variety of Support Groups to its members and regular attenders to help worshippers process life experiences and challenges. Visit our Events page to view a list of our Support Groups or contact a member of our Pastoral Care Team to begin counseling at GCC.
