Invited to Be a Disciple

Jesus calls us to be followers, not just fans. When He invited His first disciples to follow Him, they responded immediately and completely, leaving their nets and livelihoods behind. True discipleship requires three key responses: immediate action without delay, complete surrender of every life area to His lordship, and faith that trusts Jesus even without knowing all the details. The difference between admiration and transformation lies in our willingness to prioritize Jesus first in everything. Following Jesus means allowing Him to be Lord over our careers, relationships, finances, and daily decisions, trusting that the best version of ourselves emerges when we surrender control to His loving leadership.

From Series: "Are You a Disciple of Jesus"

Before He ascended, Jesus gave His followers one clear mission: make disciples. Not converts. Not church members. Disciples. But here's the uncomfortable truth — most of us couldn't define what that actually means if someone asked. In this three-part series, we're cutting through the noise with three simple but transformative questions: What is a disciple? How do we make disciples? When can I start? No jargon. No guilt. Just clarity — and a path forward that starts sooner than you think.
