This November, you can support those in need through Water Street Mission’s annual food drive. Drop off your contributions at the table in the main lobby through November 30. A list of items is available online or at the lobby table.

Short-Term Mission Trips

Learn more online about these opportunities to impact those in other places with the Gospel and the love of Jesus: Camp Li-Wa in Alaska from May 23 to June 7 (informational meeting to be held on Sunday, November 9 at 12:30 pm), and with Mission2535 in the Dominican Republic from June 13 to 20 (informational meeting to be held on Sunday, December 14 at 12:30 pm). Registration for these two trips is now open.
 
Baptism & Testimony Night
Join GCC Youth on Wednesday, November 12, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm for a baptism and testimony night! All are welcome to come and see what the Lord is doing among the youth at GCC and support them in this next step of their faith journey.
 
Tell Me More

Tell Me More is designed to help you learn more about GCC. In this session, from 3:00 to 5:30 pm on Sunday, November 16, you’ll explore the history of GCC, the church’s core values, and the biblical foundations on which GCC is based. Childcare is available. Register online.
 
Blood Drive

GCC will host the next blood drive on Thursday, November 20, from 1:00 to 6:00 pm. Register online or call the church office to participate. If you’d like to serve those who come to donate, email jazzy@gccws.net.

 
Outpour Concert

Mark your calendar to attend the Outpour Kids & Teens Worship Concert following their 8-week training in song and spirit. This free event is scheduled for Friday, November 21, at 7:30 pm. No registration is required.

LS Together Stocking Drive

Partner with LS-Together this Christmas season by providing stocking gifts for children in our local community. Beginning on November 22, pick up a gift tag in the lobby. Then, return unwrapped items to the lobby by December 10.

 
Turkey Bowl

Youth in grades 7th-12th and Young Adults are invited to play in our 9th Annual Turkey Bowl from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 22, at the LS Field. Players should arrive at 8:30 am to register and get their team assignment and shirts. Family and friends are invited to cheer on the players. We will enjoy brunch at George’s after the game!

 
Annual Congregational Meeting

If GCC is your church home, you’re invited to attend the Annual Congregational Meeting on Sunday, November 23, at 6:30 pm. The agenda will include a presentation and vote on the 2026 budget, the election of a Ministry Council member, and an update on the Southern End Church Campus. Report packets will be available in the main lobby in November. Registration is not required. In addition, a by-law change will be proposed regarding the process for electing Ministry Council members. Please see the document in the Connect@GCC Center for information about this proposal.

 
Thanksgiving Eve Service
Celebrate and give thanks at the annual Thanksgiving Eve Worship and Bread Feast on November 26. Worship begins at 7:00 pm, followed by a feast of homemade breads and spreads. Bring your favorite sliced bread and spread to share. Nursery to age 4 is available during the worship service.
 
Church Office Closed for Thanksgiving

The church office will be closed on November 27 and 28 for Thanksgiving. If you need to reach a pastor after hours or when the office is closed, dial 717-464-5333 and follow the instructions.

 
Service of Remembrance

Grief is hard, especially through the holidays. GCC will offer a remembrance service on Saturday, December 6, at 9:30 am to honor loved ones who’ve passed and remember God’s love and presence amid grief. A light brunch will be provided. Register by Monday, December 1.

 
Family Christmas Worship Experience

Celebrate the season at the Family Christmas Worship Experience, a joyful night of music, fun, and worship for the whole family, on Friday, December 12, at 7:00 pm. This worship service will be led by our GCC Kids and GCC Youth. Childcare will be offered for infants through 2 years old.

Mark your calendar now to attend one of four GCC Christmas Eve worship services on December 23 and 24 at 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm each night. More details will be coming soon.

Dementia Care Support Group

Dementia Care is a place where caregivers for loved ones with dementia can be encouraged and resourced to care well for their loved ones. Led by Registered Nurse Jean Langenbach, this group meets on the third Sunday of each month at 12:30 pm. Details are online.
