Marriage

Weddings last for a day, but God designed marriage to last for a lifetime.

We want to help you prepare for both!
At GCC we offer all couples biblically based pre-marital counseling, financial coaching, ceremony planning, and marriage mentoring entirely free of charge.

If you have questions, concerns, just want to talk to someone about the idea of marriage or even sign up for pre-engagement counseling, send us an email using the button below—we’d love to talk to you!

Our premarital process is designed to help you build a Christ-centered marriage that will last a lifetime by using Godly principles, practices, and time-tested tools.

If you desire a GCC Pastor to officiate your wedding, you will need to complete the three steps listed below.

It is NOT necessary to wait until you know all your wedding details to get the process started.
Ideally, we recommend that you allow at least six months to complete the three required steps. A six-month lead time is preferred but not required. So, let’s get started!

1

Contact GCC

Marriage is one of the most important and rewarding decisions of your life! GCC considers it an honor that you would consider us. To begin the process, complete the Marriage Connection Form. Please understand that the completion of this form does not guarantee GCC’s involvement in your wedding.

2

Meet with a pastor

Once you have completed the Marriage Connection Form, a staff member will contact you to set up a meeting with your desired pastor. At this meeting, you will have the opportunity to share your engagement story and receive GCC’s Pre-Wedding Questionnaire (Available in digital or paper form) from the pastor.

Following your first meeting with the pastor, the next step is to complete the GCC Pre-Wedding Questionnaire and return it to the pastor. When the packet is received and reviewed by the pastor, you are ready to begin Step 3.

3

Start planning for marriage

In Step 3, we will help you plan for your marriage – not just your wedding day! This involves taking an assessment called Prepare and Enrich. It also means you will be engaged in 6-7 pre-marital sessions with a GCC Counselor.

Next you will have 1-2 sessions with a Dave Ramsey Financial Coach. Finally, you will meet with your desired GCC pastor for 3-4 sessions to plan your wedding, but more importantly, to talk about what it means to be married according to the Word of God.
If you have any questions, send us an email using the button below, we’d love to talk to you!
