Encourage One Another

ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER! That’s our next study in the ONE ANOTHER sermon series. You may wonder what deep spiritual value encouragement has. We all like to receive it, and it makes us feel good to give it, but we are tempted to think that encouraging one another doesn’t rank up there with the “heavyweights” of loving one another and forgiving one another. Think again! In the words of Bible scholar William Barclay, “Encouragement one of the highest of human duties…The world is full of discouragers, but we have a Christian duty to encourage one another.” And that’s why God, in His Word, goes into great detail explaining encouragement.

From Series: "One Another"

The "One Another" statements in Scripture call us to live out our faith not in isolation, but in deep, Christ-centered community. Commands like love one another, forgive one another, and bear with one another aren’t suggestions—they're the blueprint for how believers are meant to reflect Jesus in a watching world. In this series, we’ll explore these powerful imperatives and what they reveal about God’s vision for His Church. As we learn to put others before ourselves, healing, unity, and spiritual growth become possible—not just personally, but collectively, as the body of Christ.
