Pursue Righteousness

This sermon concludes a four-week study of the book of Titus, focusing on the theme of living differently as Christians. Pastor Mike emphasizes that believers are called to 'be good and do good' not through their own efforts, but by the grace of God. The message contrasts our lives before Christ (enslaved to sin) with our lives after salvation (freed and made new). Paul's letter to Titus instructs Christians to be law-abiding citizens, avoid divisiveness and foolish controversies, and devote themselves to doing good works. The pastor explains three reasons why doing good is important: it benefits others, it benefits ourselves by making our lives productive, and it honors God's reputation since we are His ambassadors.

What do you do with the new life that Jesus gives you? You LIVE DIFFERENTLY. Your new life in Christ should impact and change every area of your life. You should begin to live differently than you lived before you decided to follow Jesus. How do we do this? How do we live differently as followers of Jesus Christ? The Bible is full of practical counsel and powerful truth to help us live differently. One source for this practical counsel is a very short New Testament letter called TITUS.
