Life, Liberty, and The Pursuit of Godliness
Jesus calls His followers the salt of the earth and the light of the world, and these are not suggestions but active identities. Salt preserves, and Christians are placed in the world to slow moral and spiritual decay. But salt only works when it makes contact, which means followers of Jesus must engage the world rather than retreat from it. Light shines through good deeds, and when Christians live fruitful, obedient lives, people notice and give glory to God. The greatest gift believers can offer this nation is not political power or cultural influence alone, but lives genuinely shaped by the Gospel. Every small interaction, every moment of patience, every act of dignity toward another person is an opportunity for the light of Christ to shine. Godliness is not passive. It is lived out in the marketplace, the neighborhood, the school board, and every ordinary moment in between.
