Seed Parables

The kingdom of God grows in ways that often surprise us, quietly and steadily, even when we cannot see it happening. In Mark chapter 4, Jesus tells two parables about seeds that reveal how God's kingdom expands and what our role is in that process. We are called to scatter the seed of the gospel through prayer, invitation, service, and simply caring for the people around us. But we cannot make the seed grow. Only God can do that. From a baby in a manger to hundreds of millions of believers around the world today, small beginnings produce unexpectedly large outcomes. These parables give us confidence to keep planting, even when the harvest is not yet visible. God is faithful, and no seed sown in faith is ever wasted.

Scripture References: Mark 4:21-34
