How to Forgive

This weekend, we continue in our series Unfiltered Jesus. This series seeks to unpack and explain some of the hard sayings of Jesus – hard because they are either difficult to understand or tough to swallow. This weekend’s sermon falls into the category of tough to swallow. Jesus asks his followers to forgive. What does this mean? Whom are we supposed to forgive? How can we forgive others who have offended us? There may be many questions surrounding forgiveness, but one thing is for sure, for Christians, unforgiveness is not an option. So, don’t forget to forgive. Join us this weekend as we swallow a tough saying of Jesus in Matthew 6:14-15 and learn what forgiveness means and how to do it!

Love Your Enemies

First observed on May 30, 1868, Memorial Day commemorated the sacrifices of those who lost their lives during the Civil War. For nearly a century, Memorial Day was known as Decoration Day and expanded beyond its original audience to include those who had fallen in other US conflicts. Then In 1971, Memorial Day became a nationally recognized holiday. This weekend, in all services, GCC will honor the men and women who died while in military service for the United States of America.

Scripture References: Matthew 5:43-48
