He told me “I hate you!” Didn’t he realize who he was talking to? I’m the sub whom everybody loves, the same one who has been rated by small children: “Best Sub Ever”

I don’t need to carry the weight of providing for our needs; that responsibility belongs to Him, our Heavenly Father.
It is amazing what I can remember when I think I have been wronged.
We would spend hours flipping through the pages of that catalog picking out toys, marking pages and circling all the things we just had to have.
I had no love for the man who had lost his way. In my anger, I was the resounding gong, the clanging cymbal, the noise that makes no difference. I might as well of been that backfire from a car or the slamming of a door. You hear it, but ignore it.
Jesus also had some “boys” with a thick skull and a hard heart.
It looked like it would be a long and lean period of walking by faith. We kept moving forward, praying for God to provide our needs.
My son’s justification for his crayon masterpiece on the bare wall was because of his brother’s own “masterpiece” on the opposite wall.
Sally had never encountered a believer who would carefully listen, wouldn’t get offended by her language, and would not give up on her as a lost cause.
We sat down on the couch for a bedtime story via flashlight when we all heard a scratching sound. My husband and I did the quick glance at each other to confirm we both heard the same sound. Then we went with the “ignore the sound and it will go away” option.
We were “church people”. If the doors were open, we were there. It didn’t matter if we were gifted or not, we served.
Have you waited for an answer to prayer? Asked God to act in a situation and He doesn’t answer when you think He should?
